Unhinged - Review

Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.

That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.

As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.

If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.

I actually am away from my family for the second year now so sadly that is one that I can't be thankful for. I can only hope it gets better next year. So for all those with your families this year, enjoy it even more for me.

Now there are a lot of things that I am thankful for and I'm going to list six things, because everyone know I'm obsessed with the number six.

NaNoWriMo Update

So great news! I did it! I won NaNoWriMo! I will be posting more snippets and such but first I really need to edit and look through everything I wrote. Some of it is cringe worthy right now. But I'd like to share it with you guys. I was thinking once it's all nice and edited that I could share a chapter or two a week with you guys. If you would like that is. Let me know what you think in the comments. Also for anyone still working on NaNoWriMo, I know you guys can do it! Just work hard and don't give up. Make sure you just set aside time for your writing and just go to town. For those that have won already, congratulations!

Soul Mate - Mini Review

Annabel is a bad-ass hybrid hunter, seeking revenge from the vampire who killed her parents and put her brother in a coma. Arriving in a new town with an undercover identity to protect and the mission to find a pureblood vampire to save her brother’s life, the last thing Annabel needs is to fall in love with the sexy, persistent werewolf who thinks she’s a helpless human in need of a knight in shining armor.

Shane is a dominant werewolf who also happens to be the local sheriff. He has almost lost hope of finding his better half. So when his beautiful soul-mate shows up and rogue vampires try to kill her, he does what any smart wolf would do: he saves her and takes her home, hoping to convince her that they belong together.

When sparks fly between them, Annabel has to decide if she tells him who she really is or runs the other way to protect her secrets.

Diary of a Haunting - Mini Review

When Paige moves from LA to Idaho with her mom and little brother after her parents’ high-profile divorce, she expects to completely hate her new life, and the small town doesn’t disappoint. Worse yet, the drafty old mansion they’ve rented is infested with flies, spiders, and other pests Paige doesn’t want to think about.

She chalks it up to her rural surroundings, but it’s harder to ignore the strange things happening around the house, from one can of ravioli becoming a dozen, to unreadable words appearing in the walls. Soon Paige’s little brother begins roaming the house at all hours of the night, and there’s something not right about the downstairs neighbor, who knows a lot more than he’s letting on.

First Blogiversary!

This time last year I posted my very first review. It was of White Hot Kiss and it sucked. I look back at it now and cringe. It's freaking terrible! You are welcome to go read it but don't say I didn't warn you!

But I actually wanted to take this time and talk about what got me into blogging and I'm sure it's a story most people share with me. But it seems fitting to share it in depth here and now.
I had just finished White Hot Kiss, which I read in one sitting that day after picking it up from my local Wal-Mart. It was my first taste of Jennifer L Armentrout and I was hooked!

So I've been having a lot of book hauls lately and more to come as I just ordered more from bookoutlet and ebay. Yes, I know. I have a problem! My partner tells me so all the time. It's okay though, because I know you guys understand what it's like. So my lovely little rosebuds, let me show you what I go this time!

As I am writing this post I have 12,649 words written and let me tell you, once I actually get the story completed, I have a lot of editing to do! So how are you guys doing?
I also wanted to take this time and share a small part of my novel, it's the Prelude. So read it and tell me what you think. I'd love to hear all of your thoughts little sunflowers! And to those doing NaNoWriMo, don't worry, you still have plenty of days left this month. That's what I'm telling myself at least.

NaNoWriMo!

Okay so I've said this before but I will just say it again. I'm writing a book so I can get published one day. This year I've decided to join NaNoWriMo and get my book finished and then sent out to publishers. So I won't be posting everyday on my blog. I will still post at least one review a week and two other little posts. Sometimes I may even post two reviews a week and another little post. So yeah three posts a week the month of November.

I will still do tags and such (so keep tagging me!) I love tags so much. I'll also unveil my original book tag sometime this month and also my blog turns one year old on the 13 of this month! YAY! Lots of fun stuff is happening this November! I may also post a few updates throughout the month on my progress with the novel.

If you are also doing NaNoWriMo this year and want to add me as a writing buddy
